Books like Sarah Dessen's This Lullaby?

i'm looking for a book that is somewhat like This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. not necessarily the same plot line, but something involving a young (late teen, you know, like 17- 19 years old) funny, clever indie-rock musician guy meeting a girl and yadda yadda. i don't really know if there are even many books like that, but if you know of any or have any other suggestions for good books that are similar to that and have clever and funny characters like Dexter in This Lullaby, please help a sister out! also, any books similar to It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. thanks!
