2nd round of IUI....or move on to IVF?

hi! well i want to start by saying i wish you the best of luck... i am not trying to discourage you in anyway... i just had my 1st iui done last thursday so wont know anything for at least another week or so we haven't decided what we will do next if it doesn't work...i have heard both sides of the iuis and the ivfs... i have 3 cousins that iuis worked the first time but then i also had one cousin who did 8iuis and 3 ivfs and ended up adopting about a year and a half ago. she too had unexplained fertility problems and everything looked fine on both sides but they just cant get pregnant! I am hoping now that they have a child and everything is finalized that they will end up pregnant soon... I know it is hard to deal with and i wish you and your husband all the best of luck and tons of baby dust...i understand the way you feel about money being tight and its very expensive to continue trying with no results... i think it is awesome your families are willing to help pay for it. that is very nice and alot of stress is off to worry where the money will come from...we have been paying out of pocket as well because our insurance does not cover fertility. i have been on metformin since may 1500 mg a day and i started clomid about 3 weeks after that... 1st month 50mg 2nd 100mg 3rd and 4th 150mg and i was doing trigger shots every month on top of that...I have pcos but we dont know where it came from because no one in my family has it...they say its ped down but i have been the only female in my family with those types of issues...my other 4 cousins that had problems are only related to me thru marriage not blood. but i do wish you tons of luck and hope things work out for you...the way i look at it is that maybe we are supposed to adopt and help a child out who really needs someone to love and take care of them and maybe after that it will be our turn to have one of our own... well tons of baby dust and best of luck!!
