Is Harajuku Lovers a wannabee line of Gwen Stefani?

Hi! I just bought a Harajuku Lovers bag at Nordstroms (not online) for $60, and when i asked my friend if she knew if it was a popular brand she said it was a knonk-off brand of something else that looks like it from Gwen Stefani because "People Magazine"said it in an issue? Isnt this line MADE from her? Please if you have any information, answer this question!!! Thanks so much!
