Who was the teacher in the Da Vinci Code?

Sir Leigh Teabing is the teacher but he is not a member of Opus Dei. He used Opus Dei to do the work. The Grail would keep the Vatican from disociating itself from Opus Dei. Teabing would unveil the secret because the Priory didn't release the secret as planned.
