In Sense and Sensibiltiy why was Miss Steele referred to as Nancy and Anne? Which is it?

I noticed that her sister Lucy calls her Anne and Mrs Jennings calls her Nancy and everyone else calls her Miss Steele...I'm confused! Why would jane austen do that? Is it a mistake?
